In front of my house we have two beautiful trees on the strip between the sidewalk and the street. One of these trees could use a trim as its branches are starting to near our house. Is the town responsible for this trim? If so, if I call them will they actually trim it or will they take the whole tree down?

I had a tree service do mine and I didn't notify the town. This way I got what I wanted.

I'm pretty sure that what I did is not according to the rules.
