This morning, on the 8:22 to NYC, about 2 or 3 cars from the end of the train, there were two women arguing about a seat, or placement of one the persons in said seat, or something to that effect. What caught my attention as I was walking by was the scary tone of the person complaining about the middle-seat occupant. The complainer was seated in the window seat of a 3-seater and the "new" woman, who must have just gotten on at S. Orange, was occupying, or attempting to occupy the middle seat. The complainer was wearing those BIG DARK sunglasses -- the kind that make women look like giant houseflies -– and telling someone on her cellphone that a "stupid woman" was “bothering her.” Upon hearing this, the newly-arrived woman in the middle seat informed her quietly that the seats are for everyone, and that she paid a ticket to have a seat. Housefly woman cut her off and promptly and loudly told her to “shut up, shut up, shut up!” and continued to tell her to "shut up" as if she were yelling at a five-year-old kid having a tantrum. Did anyone else witness this? How insane!

Sorry Las, I moved on to the next car to find a seat. I was hoping someone else saw the rest of it! |

Seats on the 8:32 were plentiful and claimed in an uneventful manner. |

I knocked the b*tch of the bench and farted really loud which cleared some more seats. So yes all in all the ride was uneventful and I had plenty of seating space. |

Just out of curiosity, GuitarDad, am I to infer that the giant housefly look is not appealing? |

Yes there is...from SO. I have a REAL issue with people hanging onto their center seat with the brief case and coat as long as possible, to make it look like the other people aren't welcome. People are so rude. Housefly takes the cake tho, for sure. Must be from Chatam or something! (Just kidding I know nothing about Chatam.)

To all the center seat hoggers: Be assured that the only reason why I would pluck myself between you and another sweaty person is because I am tired and have 14 hour work days too so slide over and stop yapping on the cell phone in the morning on the train. |

Ess, Just FYI, I think the big shades looked great on Sophia Loren, Jackie O, and definitely the look goes well with certain females today. But when everyone is wearing them, all the way to work, from the front door to the office door, in the dark, in the rain, on the subway . . . ENOUGH! Aren't you embarrassed? Someday an archeologist will come across this strange trend in our history. I can't help but think that he or she would be dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of all those large shades at the same time. "Was this the first sign of the rapid deterioration of the Earth's old ozone layer?" Of course, it's late, and I must get to bed. I don't have a pair of the big shades to put on in the morning. Anyway, I prefer to scare the seat hogs with my purple eyes.

They look good on Danica Patrick, too. And you can bet she doesn't wear them indoors.
