I never understood that phrasing. If the delay is 60 minutes, why wouldn't I just get onto a 5pm train (leaving at 6pm) instead of a 6pm train (leaving at 7pm)?

Can you bypass the Amtrack bridge by taking the train from Hoboken instead of Penn Station?

Yes. No delays reported from Hoboken, yet.

I'M SO SICK, SICK, SICK OF THIS!!! Are we in a 3rd-world country? How many Amtrak problems this spring/summer?!!! I NEEEEEEED to be home relatively on time tonight. But . . . that doesn't matter, apparently.
And I don't excuse NJ Transit either, just because it's Amtrak's problem today. Their usual behavior is "On or "close" to schedule. HA!! I love that! 10-15 minutes is not "close" when it comes to trains. Oh, and try, just try to get a seat on the 8:22 (South Orange) to NYC. Atrocious!

Breathing heavy. Thinking of what I can't get done tonight, now.

I picked a good day to work from home...

Word is the portal bridge is stuck between Secaucus and Kearny. They have to lower it manually. Was supposed to be done @ this hour.

Good luck to everyone getting home!
