The place next to Zayda's? I wondered the same thing last week & the guy in Zayda's said he thought they are renovating the building and subdividing it into 3 separate stores. |

I hope they fix the brick, since it's so ugly. I wonder what stores will go in there? |

I think that Saiyd owns the property. My recollection is that he received planning board approval to add one story which would be apartments. The ground floor would remain commercial. He did receive planning board approval for a parking variance. There was some concern on the part of the planning board about the parking variance, but Bill C. pushed hard for it. He said parking would be available in the municipal lot across the street. It was mentioned that most likely the tenants in the apartments would be SHU students. |

The street talk is that Sayid Plaza is for sale. May we receive some confirmation of this statement at tonight's meeting? One would expect a full disclosure from the village administration when such promised disclosures have been made by the Village President in previous BoT meetings. Please, can someone explain the results of discussions with environmental experts concerning the contaminated fill used for the basement of Sayid Plaza. Are there any concerns the public should be alerted to after waiting 4+ years for this development to occur..? The readers of the Taliban-Record Express await your prompt and insightful delivery of the local redevelopment news.... Hi-Ho, Calabul and away.....
