What I thought were emergency medical helicopters have turned into one hauling helicopter towards Barnabas and another that I thought was heading for Summit. Summit heicopter (I think) just buzzed back by and is close (HFS) literally overhead. WTF? (Edited to add that they must have been med-vacs and were re-drected to Barnabas. Hope all involved are okay.) |

Thank you for posting this - the helicopters are circling overhead, with a spotlight on. I was creeped out enough to get out of bed and check MOL to see if anyone knew what was going on! |

It reminds me of the armored truck roberry - the helicopters were literally close enough to exchange business cards. I think this one is over and done with - hope we can find out what it was about! |

There are 2 police cruisers parked by the Baird now. A few minutes ago one had its lights flashing. Helicopters appear to have moved on. |

They thought it was an attack from Outer Space. There were a few very large Perseids flying across the sky tonight. |

Pierro Gallery was staging a dress rehersal for their fall production of the 80's TV drama "AirWolf". A thrilling stage experience. At least this year we do not have to be subject to genitalia or floating trash. note: I still love arts in the park |

You know I just thought of something! Last night the helicopters could have been because of the American Idol tryouts taking place at the Medowlands today. People started to line up yesterday. Now they could be for the police officer who was murdered in Orange, his funeral is today. The police cars at the Baird Center last night at the same time as the helicopters were heard could have been a fluke.
