I have a friend who has the absolute worst taste in movies. I mean horrendous Hollywood bombs. I'm not talking any specific genre or anything. Just awful flics that HBO,Showtime,TMC,UPN9 etc. use as afternoon filler. To compound this is he has an infinite home library of these. Getting to my point. A bunch of us were sitting around deciding which horrible films are actually worth seeing. ie; movies you don't tell anyone you like, for fear of being considered a total Philistine. My list begins with... "The Legend of Billie Jean" '80's Helen Slater/Christian Slater/Yeardley Smith pic. |

I guess you never heard of "Ishtar". This is a movie so bad that I turned it off during the opening credits. I would rather watch grass grow than sit through that movie. "Ishtar" is an hour-and-a half of your life that you'll never get back. A sure cure for insomnia. |

Complete with courtroom scene finale that features our hero busting through the courthouse window on a motorcycle and leaping onto a helicopter mounted with a machine gun. friggin awesome |

Ninja 4 Where a ninja is shot probably tens of thousands of times by the police, but lives long enough to have his spirit take over the body of a female phone worker so she can seek revenge on the police that shot him. |

"Jaws 4...This time it's personal" Now that's a bad movie. A bad movie that you have to watch. Anyone who claims to be a movie fan must have seen the 1975 classic "JAWS" But have they seen the 4th installment? A shark that follows the Brody family from New England to the Carribbean. Just when I thought the shark couldn't look more robotic.....! Just when I thought they couldn't make another sequel.....! Just when I thought it was safe to go back into the water.....! I got sucked into watching....."JAWS 4.....This time it SUCKS" |

I was an extra in three different masterpieces B-movie, or perhaps C-movie, filmmaking by the prolific B-movie director J. Christian Ingvordsen: Cyber Vengeance, Cyber Vengeance II, and Air Boss II. I believe Chris actually put out FOUR of the Air Boss movies. Gotta track them down one of these days. |

Salsa! Saw it high school circa 1987. Four of us in the theatre and all of us laughing. It wasn't supposed to be a comedy. The legend of Billie Jean is a great bad one. Wasn't Peter Coyote in that? Now that think about it, sweet lord: Xanadu. With a roller discoing Olivia Newton John.

Liquid Sky (1982) Invisible aliens in a tiny flying saucer come to Earth looking for heroin. They land on top of a New York apartment inhabited by a drug dealer and her female, androgynous, bisexual nymphomaniac lover, a fashion model. The aliens soon find the human pheromones created in the brain during orgasm preferable to heroin, and the model's casual sex partners begin to disappear. This increasingly bizarre scenario is observed by a lonely woman in the building across the street, a German scientist who is following the aliens, and an equally androgynous, drug-addicted male model. |

I only know one other person who admitted to seeing this movie movie. Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988) Three frat boys sneak into the Tri-Delt sorority to witness the initiation of new pledges and are caught. The pledges must go to the local bowling lane and steal a trophy, aided by the unwanted frat boys. An accident causes the trophy to break, releasing an evil imp who then begins wreaking havoc with the teens, who begin suffering an attrition problem. |

I think it's refreshing to see a thread like this one Wendy. Ever since I started logging on, It's been nothing but bitching about every stupid project that South Orange has going on around town. I cant say that I disagree with those who think Village Hall employees are, for the most part, morons who couldn't effectively govern a town if their lives depended on it: but who wants to talk about that when you can talk about ROCKY V??? A movie so bad that you have to see it. For future reference, "Snakes on a Plane" will one day, be on this list. |
