there is a big white dog (samoa? huskey?) walking back and forth across Scotland Road and south orange ave. I tried to call him but he went the opposite direction and i was afraid i might cause an accident. I told a policeman and he said he would try to page animal control. Anyone missing a dog? | ||

FYI - the south orange police are absolutely positively useless when it comes to animals - I know from personal experience after capturing several dogs before they got hit by cars on our busy street. The last time we'd captured a strange large dog in our back yard and called the police, the dispatcher told us that animal control couldn't pick it up because it was the weekend and that we should just let it go(!!!). When we did talk to the animal control officer in person the following monday, he assured us that this was not true - that he does pick up on weekends. Not ONE time did the police dispatcher give the correct info to the animal control guy (if they did call him at all). You have to call the animal control guy directly. I believe he's at the police dept. - Ask for his extension. I think his name is Mr. Ash (?). I hope the dog's ok! |
