Mayor McCheese "international man of mystery". Excited to venture into Lot 15. Hoping it is a much better experience than my 2 visits to the Grille. |

Thanks Dave for posting the information about Kobe Burgers. I apologize. I thought it was a tribute to the basketball player. |

Good, thats what the town needs to keep the college keg crowd out! Anyone see the teen's at Cryan's? it's like a high school hang out but you can get served. If that guy had a brain in his head they would have moved over to this location and cleaned up their act.The only thing Irish about that place are a few people who work there. Want Irish? go to Maplewood and St. James Gate. NO TEENS |

Why move???? When they can pay the rent from the minors they serve. You are completely right about the kids they serve. My husband and I stopped going beacuse of that reason. I went to St. James Gate, the other night with my husband. They food was not that bad. But $7.50 for a glass of wine (WOW) |

Went to Lot 15 last night with the family and had a wonderful dinner. We dine at CentAnni often and were looking forward to the grill opening and were not disappointed. Joe (the Chef) is at the Grill (while also continuing to supervise the CentAnni menu). I had the Rib Eye which was terrific and also ordered the Asparagus in lemon butter. My wife had the pork chop with figs in a Cabernet sauce, again, terrific and my oldest child had the Filet Mignon, she enjoyed that as well. The wine list is limited, but Giacomo says it is temporary until he can build it up (if you know Giacomo you know the wine list will not be a problem). They do serve lunch and the lunch menu looks promising. Giacomo did say he was understaffed for Saturday night as he was not expecting such a large crowd and he felt bad that some people left not happy with the service. You can bet that won't happen again. They have not advertised so he didn't think it would be so busy, but I guess he didn't know about the power of MOL. He does now. Bon Appetit Tom |

I was there Saturday night, and it was indeed packed. There were some hiccups -- steak came out undercooked, other food that should have been hot was room temperature - but I assume much of that had to do with them still getting the hang of timing. I do have to say: While the food was good, I'm not sure they're justifying the price yet. The atmosphere still needs some improving. It doesn't feel like a $100-for-two kind of place yet. |

Do they serve ham salad? If so, would it be expensive. Because I'm on a tight budget for the holiday season. What ever happened to Jack & coke? |

Popped in for lunch on Wed. Affordable, wide-ranging menu and attentive wait staff (already a big difference from previous place). Best burger in town. Even bumped into George Berkeley aka jgberkeley, who's been helping get the place up and running. Will try dinner soon. |

LOT 15? We went last night and I was VERY disappointed. Oy vay, where to begin? First, for the fair food, awful service and NOISE, the prices are outrageous. The trio was too loud and the singer very amateurish - painful at times to listen to. My daughter, who is studying voice in school, was cringing at times. We waited and waited for a menu and a waiter and then waited forever for our meal - while watching two of the people at the next table send back their steaks for being "way overdone." I ordered a glass of wine - an overpriced, rather pedestrian chianti ;-) .... I had to ask three times before it came. My daughter had pasta and asked for parmesan cheese (is this an unreasonable request?) and it didn't arrive until we asked again and again her pasta was cold. The waiter apologized over and over in a voice that was too soft to be heard over the din of the trio and the crowd in a room with rather poor acoustics. It's not a good sign when the waiter apologizes every time he shows up at the table. I heard thru the din a waitress apologizing profusely to another group of diners, I think for giving a steak to diner that ordered fish and telling him he'd have to wait while she put in a new order. Shall I go on? The Kobe burger was on a HUGE and rather stale bun. I asked for "DIJON mustard" (yes, over and over) and the waiter kept saying "I'm sorry, Sir, I'm getting your HONEY mustard." Finally he brought "your honey mustard" which was Dijon mustard, of course. And by then, the burger was almost gone. Oh, well. Fussy fussy fussy. They just need a few weeks to straighten things out, I guess. Mr. T

Sounds like they may not have been quite ready for the different type (and size) of crowd that they'll likely get at a grill compared with Cent Anni, but knowing how well Cent Anni is run this place should be fine with time. I will be trying it soon. I was surprised to hear that they had entertainment (although it doesn't sound like Mr T was entertained). Mr. T, do you know who the act was? |

Mr T...why didn't you say something to Giacomo, the owner who is trying his best to establish Lot 15 in S.O....His staff is all new and will I'm sure learn the ropes soon.We have been there twice and both times had delicious meals. The veal chop was done just the way I like it..I will say, the noise is overbearing at times but the place was crowded..Giacomo is a great guy and will listen to all suggestions... |

r2boy, I didn't know who the owner was. What was I going to say, anyway? It's his job to run the place, not mine. And I shouldn't have to pay those prices while they "learn the ropes." vor, it was a trio: singer, piano and stand-up bass. The sound was waaay too loud and the singer wasn't good. I don't know who they are but they did nothing but every standard you could think of. Night and Day. Our Love is Here to Stay. Satin Doll. On and on and on. At one point they took a break and [but?] the piano player played some classical-sorta music solo for a while. I will NOT be back there.

On Sunday night, had a lovely dinner in a very quiet restaurant (about 3 parties there). Steak and sides were excellent (much better than my last trip to the Strip House). My first impressions weren't great (slight musty smell, raw wood cabinetry next to our table, poorly applied wallpaper near my table). Service was fine, if a bit new (missing potato toppings, wine list etc.). Space is still configured as it has been previously...far too much bar for a restaurant of its size, but less barren looking than previously. Once the food arrived, though, we were very happy, and will be going back when we need another carnivore fix! If the kitchen is getting it so right, I trust them to fix all of the new restaurant quirks. Not inexpensive, but at least side dishes are included with the steak. |

I've said this before - in the end it would be a lot less costly to offer reduced prices and have a soft opening while the staff is learning the ropes. It gives the restaurant time to work out the kinks and people will be less inclined to be angry if they aren't being charged full price and more likely to give the place second chance.

Sat night my wife and I had a good meal. I had the rib eye and side of garlic mashed. All very good. I do believe they still need to work a few kinks out of the menue and service, but Giacomo will get that all done. I will go back and I hope that Lot 15 will be around for a long time! By the way...its located in Lot 9! |

I recently went to Lot 15. Got the Kobe burger. It was ok, but not great. Baked potato was so small I had to ask for another (not much bigger) and they both looked like they'd been hanging around for a bit. The side of string beans were floating in butter. I love their Maplewood restaurant and hope they can make a go of Lot 15, but they've got more work to do. There were only a handful of people in a pretty big space. Prices are high considering the food's quality and the lack of ambiance. |

Go to a steakhouse, try the steak. That's how you judge the quality, in my book. The steaks were excellent when we went (as I've already said) I don't really understand the concept of using Kobe steak to make a burger. Isn't Kobe regarded for its tenderness as much as anything? If so, grinding it up seems to miss the point. We'll be back, as happy carnivores, but I agree that the ambiance is not there yet, relative to the price point. |
