I understand Santa has been practicing his gift for dancing or at times referred to as "to shake his booty" for display at the Annual Christmas Tree lighting tonight. I'm sure he'll make every effort to entertain all irrespective of religious beliefs. Won't you be present, LL?

No actually I won't be there. For those who enjoy the splendor of the Christmas, enjoy! Me, I'll be busy shopping for potatoes and onions for my latkes next week.

Don't forget the special treat of St. Nicholas Day on December 6. Tradition holds that if you put your shoes on the window sill for the eve, when you wake in the morning, they'll be filled with fruit and candy. |

Has anyone else realized that the tree in several spots has no lights. Could the town not afford the rest of the lights? |

Maybe they are saving money to help pay the Trustees? Oh...nevermind....they'll just raise our taxes for that! |

How come they seem to replace the tree every year (or every other)? It always seems to be dying. Is there a reason?

Please notice, the tree lighting was done by the chamber of commerce. The tree was replaced a couple of years ago when the old was dying. |
