Why were the covers removed from the fences around the "construction" sites (junk heaps) across from Bunnies and near the chinese restaurant on S. Orange Ave? Just in time for the holidays, the town looks terrible...

Maybe someone is going to string holiday lights through the chain link fence & put up an inflatable Snowman holding a "Coming Soon" sign in the spirit of the holidays?

Don't worry. Soon snow will cover it all and they'll appear to be meadows or "secret gardens."

Maybe we could place a large camouflage tarp over the areas so people won't see them.

Don't get me started about that tree on the corner of Ridgewood and S.Orange. I say we carve it into some sort of South Orange totem pole dipicting all the "coming soon" projects.

Mr Rosner,
Isn't there some sort of ordinance about covering the fences of the construction sites? I thought that was how the town got the owners to comply earlier? I'm guessing perhaps the tarps were taken down due to wind gusts -- if so, it's time for them to go back up (or be replaced with prper tarps that have lost of air holes in them...)

My gut tells me that it had nothing to do with the wind gusts but either way I would expect/hope that the property owners put the tarps back up.
There is an ordinance and if they do not comply they will be fined.

Katie,
The sign is a good idea. We should put it up because once we do we know that it will never materialize.

Last Wednesday evening at around 10:30 pm I walked from antonellas going next to the bank and behind sweet concessions. I was sickend by the amount of food waist garbage from this restaurant is was thrown all over the ground and smelled horribly. Why would any business in this town allow this to happen.

There was a guy back there for over an hour last night (around 5-6ish) cleaning up the mess behind the bank (formerly THD), it's a wrap, sweet concessions, and that building that Ladies Workout Express is in. Also the dumpster is now in the corner with cones around it. Not sure what caused the disgusting mess but it's cleaned up now.
