As many of you know I am a part of JESPY and also a part of ARTS UNBOUND, http://www.artsunbound.org. A couple of weeks ago AU had a private show at someone's home, I found out on of the pieces I made sold. It was a pocketbook, made from a pocket from an old pair of jeans. I would love to send a big THANK YOU to the person who thought enough of my work to buy it, since I tend to be hyper critical of my own work. At AU, we make products for sale out of old jeans, plastic garbage cans, flip flops etc. We recycle everything we can. Once again THANK YOU!!!} |

What other items can you use at the center? Most of us here have things we hate to throw away if they can be recycled. BTW, congratulations on your sale !

Andrea, I saw a purse last week at Celebrated Foods that I loved擁t was the one with all the "love" graphics all over it. I almost bought it, then someone else grabbed it up. Pillows like that would be cool too! I enjoyed seeing the work and would also contribute materials to AU. |

Andrea - We've just received a mailing from Arts Unbound and I noticed that someone from the Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore is on the board. Have you ever had a chance to visit the Visionary Art Museum? I would recommend it to anyone - it's an incredible experience. |

shh, The purse you saw with the "love" graphics all over it was mine. I also heard about the story. Carman Bury, the "art teacher" told me that someone almost bought the purse put it down and someone else bought it. Pippi, I am not sure where else you can buy the items, but I am not 100% sure about the next show, I think it will be around Mother's Day. I will find out and post it, where and when. Optimyst, We can use just about anything and everything. If you have any old clothes in any condition we can use it, we can use any typ of fabric, which most of our art project are made out of right now. IF you have any old flip flops(I made one that was khaki in color and on small purpole one). http://www.artsunbound.org |

Yup, that was it and me. I told Carmen I recognized your name from MOL. Hopefully next time I'll get one of your love inspired works. |

shh, She told me that she told you about my boyfriend and I and how in love we are and that he gets me an eggroll every friday night. I do have othe "love" pocketbooks in the works and also have some 1970's inspired pieces in the works I also have some love pieces that I am hand painting as well. I am also going to make an elephant inspired bag, since elephants are my favorite animals, you will just have to wait to see that one. |
