I wanted everyone who doesn't read the Sports board to know that next Sunday(the 13th) JESPY HOUSE will be sending 3 basketball teams to the NEW JERSEY SPECIAL OLYMPICS sectional tournament. This will be @ DREW UNIVERSITY, Madison from 9am-6pm. This is the qualifing event before the state games that are going to take Place at FDU, Madison and the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station. In order for any of the teams from JESPY to move on, we need to win a gold, silver or bronze medal.
If you can make it please come to root us on. Our colors are the same as the LA Lakers and as a matter of fact we are called the JEPSY LAKERS.

We will try our best to go onto the states and make South Orange very proud...Maplewood as well.  .
We are the only team that has cheerleaders.
If you can make it, please try to wear purple, gold and white our team colors.

Unfortunately, we will be at another basketball tournament this weekend in Rhode Island (or I would have loved to watch yours).
Cheerleaders . . . now that is cool!
Since I can't make it on Sunday, let be the first to say . . .
GO Jespy House . . . Nice rebound #50 .... Go Andrea, Great Defense!
South Orange is PROUD of the entire team ALREADY! You represent our town so well.

Thanks for the support. I want to wish the kids going to Rhode Island good luck as well. I will be there in spirit.
Let's bring total glory to SOUTH ORANGE and MAPLEWOOD.
I will post on Sunday, depending how tired I am.
Please post the highlights of the game you are going to.

They are the South Mountain YMCA, who just won the Y State Championship. The Rhode Island trip is an eastcoast invitational tournament. Of the four levels of tournaments played this past weekend, the South Mountain Y won 3! If you see Dave Berry...make sure you ask him to see all the trophies.

Since you can't come to the tournament this weekend, the Special Olympics State tournament is the 19th and 20th. They are at FDU Madison or College of St. Eliabeth in Convent Station
