Does anyone know what happened just after 9:00pm on Scotland Road this evening (Sunday March 6).
The street was blocked off and tons of police cars on the street. Also there were police cars towards Orange and many riding around?????

No I think SOPD frequents StarBucks more then the Dunkin, but thats from personal observances.

The location was Scotland just south of Montrose Ave.

(Why does everything turn into a joke? I thought this was supposed to be a method of communication and networking? Not a constant sour note.)

I thought there would be some concern or information.

You're more likely to get rumor and speculation when you ask about police action here. Far more reliable to just call the police and ask them. They'll be happy to tell you.

Actually the police department usually never gives out information over the phone...I asked about "whats going on in front of the building blocking traffic"..and was told "the road is closed, you can contact the police director for more information."

I know that one of the temples on Scotland Road is being renovated, it may have had something to do with that.

Okay...I asked one of the cops today when I was in Starbucks why the street was blocked the other night and he said.

Apparently there was a police chase from another town(he wasn't sure what town it was because he was off) but the car crashed and they had to close the road.

I assume it wasn't a big deal since there were not much more facts than that?

Another site indicated armed robbery, chase from East Orange.

But I will also follow-up with a phone call and see what happens.

Let's see if it's in the local paper on Thursday.
