This is the situation, I have a very severe allergy to mold and that is in part the reason I was in the hospital for 7 and a half weeks last year. On the floor I live on in my building, there is a section that has mold. My case manager @ Jespy called the building manager, nothing was done. She then wrote a letter about the mold, but it still hasn't been addressed. Would going to the health department be my next course of action and how long should I wait before I go to the health department? |

What would one do about mold and mildew in the schools? Who would cover that? For example CHS has much water leaking, wet ceiling tiles, and other perfect conditions for mold. The same applies to some of the other buildings. Yes, some are in SO and some in Maplewood. How would that be addressed? |

My building manager came today as I wasn't home, he told my casemanager, that there was a leak in the chimeny and it will take a couple of weeks for it to dry, I guess I will have to deal with it |

Andrea: Are you feeling sick now because of the mold? If so, is there some way the building manager can move you away from the moldy area until things dry up enough for the mold to be removed?

Joan, I forgot to mention in my last post that not only did my building manager come he also came with someone who was able to remove the mold and peeling paint, as he did in my neighbors apartment on the inside wall(it's in the apartment). I do feel a lot better now I am not itching anymore. The reason they have to wait is because that is where the chiminy is and there is a leak, I guess the pen is mightier than the sword. |
