Not to divert anyone's attention away from the political discussions that have been taking over MOL for the past few months but, does anyone know what ever happened to the Craft Fair that used to be at the Duck Pond every May? That always seemed to be a good time that attracted a lot of people from a lot of different towns. I know I always enjoyed going to it.
Can anyone tell me why it went away?

Perhaps this could be a political discussion

Parrot,
While I know nothing of this "craft fair" I doubt its disappearance was politically motivated. You are getting paranoid.

Cheesey, I was merely hinting towards a new administration bringing the Craft Fair back to the Duck Pond for the spring activities line-up.
Judging by the icon under your name, I figured you might like some of the booths that used to be there.

I haven't seen patchouli oil for sale at the craft show in the past few years. So there goes that theory.

The Craft Fair, which most people assume was a village function, was actually a fundraiser run by the parents of South Mountain School. Unfortunately, after more than ten years the Fair ran into too much competition from larger county fairs. The enormous, year-round volunteer effort was no longer worth the diminishing returns...and the constant worry about rain outs! Sorry, lots of us miss the Craft Fair.
