There are several really bad potholes on South Orange Ave. in the vicinity of Wyoming Ave. Actually, they're more like craters, particularly the one on South Orange Ave. as you make a left turn off Wyoming Ave.
Since these are county roads, I called the public works dept. of Essex County this morning (973-226-2218 road maintenance) and advised them of this situation. The gentleman I spoke to was glad I called and said they would take care of them.
The reason I'm posting this is sometimes I think we just feel that the county is or should be aware of the situation, but they're not. If people are aware of any other potholes on South Orange Ave. or Wyoming Ave., I suggest you call the number above. Also, people may want to call regarding the potholes I called about to make sure the county acts swiftly. |

Don't forget Scotland Road..You could swim in some of those holes going towards Orange. |

The pot hole at South Orange Ave. and Wyoming is also almost invisible when heading "uphill" from North-bound Wyoming. I know it's there and I still hit it every morning! |

Just took the kids to school and sailed through the Wyoming intersection w/o a jarring BUMP. Thanks for making the call. (And good sleuth work as to which number to call!) |
