Anyone else notice the street sign on Village Plaza also says Kroll Pl? Are they changing the name of the street or something? |

I believe it has always been called Kroll Plaza since Mr Kenny Kroll passed away. They use to have a sign a few years back. |

Speaking of Ken Kroll what a great guy. In the days of old before we needed a Village Administrator, there was one person, Mr. Kroll the Village Clerk. Without benefit of a computer system, etc. etc. he was able to do his job. What happened? The Village of South Orange, it builds its own layers of government and overhead. The more we grow, the more it costs. The more it costs, well.... I wonder if Mr. Kroll had tenure. Mr. Kroll, a very nice guy. Seemed to do a good job and enjoy it. |

Ken Kroll did have tenure, but he never took it for granted. He was a great man who truly loved his job and his Village. He was approachable, compassionate and responsive to a all requests. He was a gentleman, and had a great sense of obligation to all in South Orange. It was a fitting tribute to have Village Plaza renamed in his honor, and a sad omission by his successors to fail to place the proper signs there for so long. |
