Andrea, thanks for the link. It was very interesting.

All to often when JESPY or a similar organization wants to open a group home in a community the residents protest un the well known theroy of "Not in my backyard" (NIMBY). I think that your posts here on a wide variety of subjects (ranging from serious to just plain fun) show that community based programs are a plus not just for the clients, but a plus for the community as a whole!

Brett-
Is opening up new windows for each page good or bad? The site was pretty interesting! I remember when Jespy first came to town the residents had to keep Kosher, Andrea is that still the case?

JTA,
Yes the residents still have to keep Kosher, even those in Laurie House, Fischer House, Friendship House and Reisch House. If a resident lives in their own apartment, they have the option to keep Kosher.
I don't know if you all know that a person doesn't have to have been a resident to be a part of JESPY, or to get any of the services, some people just come for recreation, or the voctional services etc.

BTw, there is an ARTS UNBOUND ART SHOW AND SALE this Saturday at H2tA FROM 1-4pm, I may be there if the doctor says I can't play softball this week.
