No offense to Mr. Pogany - I like him, though I didn't vote for him - but I agree to some extent with Nora. Those that support Mr. Pogany know that they will be supporting Mr. Rosner if he decides to run (unless John decides to go it again). But for real or imagined reasons (I believe imagined), John is tainted to many people in town. I would guess an endorsement from him would, unfortunately, not have a positive impact on anyone's campaign. BTW, Bets, not a very nice thing to say, no matter how much you like John. |

What'd I say to so offend, Rastro? Stop the fricking upstarts? Or what? I think John Pogany and his family have suffered enough for their selfless service to South Orange. He garnered enough petitions to run after Terrainn dropped out because of bad "campaign management" on the original ticket. (Yeah right.) I contributed $100 to John Pogany's campaign and would do so again in 2007. I would LOVE to see John Pogany as a trustee in this village, as he already is one. He is the trusted coach of your son's team or the voice that wants to keep the skatehouse instead of knocking it down. He's been our trusted friend forever, and deserves Trustee status in 2007, if he honors our wish for him to run. Not rushed as in this year's campaign (with Terriann's abrupt withdrawal), but for President. I doubt he'd run again after the S--T smear. Why am I here? |

I like John too - however, the results this year beg him not to run again in 2007. |

The results this year were skewed by S--T and the non-existent "hijack" by SHU. John is an ethical, honest, and highly intelligent man who would make an excellent trustee. That's all I'm going to say on this subject. |

I cant decide if I want John to run again so that even less people can vote for him OR if I want him to run again so MOL can see that it only reprents a small minority of the voters views. In any event, lets see that "life long resident" (who was neither born here nor lived here continuously) run again! Pogany in '07! Whooooa! |

I would love to see John Pogany as a Trustee. However, I think he has been tainted (unfairly) to such a degree that winning a future race now seems unlikely. He serves our community well, but has now run twice (unsuccessfully) for BOT and should probably forgo political aspiration in South Orange.

I've run three times. Although in 1999 we threw our hats in because there were no opposing candidates to the incumbents (an election is to raise issues). Talk about lethargy, we need voter turnout. If anyone thinks democracy works best with 26% voter turnout, I'd say they need to see a therapist. One can truly see the weakness in the Charter revisions adopted this past year if you were to open your eyes. As for two years from now, who's to tell. I think Sheena said it best, let's see our newly constituted officials serve the entire community and merit their reward with a re-election. Erin: Thanks for the clarification. Mighty abrupt first post - don't you think? Are you involved in Municipal affairs or have an interest otherwise?

No not involved at all. Just pointing out a fact that I was getting tired of hearing/reading about. Did not even realize this was my first post. I thought I posted before but, I guess I was not realizing you needed to push the POST button a second time. I will try to be less abrupt next time. PS: I do not think EVERYONE in the SO Government is out to get you.... You seem way too paranoid! ;-) |

Erin, You are right, now that Eric has been elected there is one person who isn't out to get him. So I guess we should say almost everyone to be more specific. |
