I just saw the new corral fencing and playground equipment- long overdue. This park may have been the most overlooked spot in South Orange for over thirty years. Good job to whoever made this happen!

yes, cemetery park. And we nearby residents are very grateful. Now if we could only cross the street with our kids to get there.....

I just hope that the new equip does not fall pray to graffiti from the Bloods or the Crips or the Lackawana Pl. Visigoths or whatever. It all looked so nice and the park was something to behold.
Way to go.

The crossing the street problem looks like it is being addressed. A nice crosswalk and those pedestrian yield signs in the middle of the road. Also a nice looking fence along the street to keep the little nippers contained.

Little Berry loves the new playground. We've been there several times. It's a wonderful addition to town.

We love it too. Nice quick walk after dinner. There is some graffiti there now but not too bad. The way to keep the Bloods/Crips/LPVs out is to call the police on your cell phone if you see anything out of place and walk away. They'll get the message soon enough.

Bets: Your "Weird South Orange, New Jersey" link really deserves its very own thread.
