Has anyone else noticed how many weeks the News Record has been running editorial letters for the upcoming Maplewood Election? Including yesterday, I believe it's at least 4 weeks already. For South Orange, I believe there was a single week where all letters were "summarized" and consolidated under each candidate. Is it just my imagination or has there been a real double standard favoring Maplewood? |

Hey, Mayhew, we agree once again. There is virtually NO coverage of South Orange in the Wretched. The Library can send stuff in via, fax, snail mail or hand delivery and it is still a crap shoot if it is published. The Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance service waas never ever mentioned, either before or after although over 500 people attended. Is it just me??? |

We hold the money. If we could get all South Orange subscribers cancel their subscriptions, if we can get all South Orange news-stands refuse to sell the paper, if we can get South Orange advertisers advertise somewhere else, Worrall will get the message. And if we can find a publisher who would publish a South Orange newspaper, it would be even better. The N-R is a crappy paper. They hire cheap novices for reporters who learn journalism at our expense and then they get fired. We deserve better than that. |

LL, I think the N-R is pretty much equal opportunity careless. In 15 years, I don't think I've ever read an article I had personal knowledge about without finding inaccuracies in it. Not to mention the crapshoot about getting notices published. happy weekend! MC |

Maybe we should approach the publishers of the Item (Millburn's paper) or the Item (Livingston's Paper) to publish a paper for us? |

People of South Orange, Tell Mr. Pogany to stop buying every N-R on earth everytime it prints something he doesn't like. That is your first step towards equilibrium.

Mr. Worrall (?), what an appropriate screen name. Have you read, the N_R is this year's well deserved recipient of The Sbenois Golden Poopyhead Award. I'd say every year, for at least the past 14 years, the paper has proved itself as a poor excuse for a local paper. BTW: Send my regards to Tom Canavan - he's such a blonde...

One day, if you work hard enough and all your dreams come true, you too can live in Maplewood!! I hear NR subscriptions are free there, courtesy of a PILOT issued to the paper by SO Village. |

Favors Maplewood? Then how come the N-R doesn't know what the mayor looks like? Check out the photo captions on last week's front page! |
