For what purpose does it need to be registered, other than incorporation (done at the state level) or federal tax ID? You might want to check with your homeowners insurance company or agent if you expect customers on your premises, business personal property, etc., because the homeowners insurance policy normally only provides incidental business coverage. If you are in residential zone, you may need a variance from the S.O. Board of Adjustment or the Planning Board. A simple procedure. |

I'm starting a Web-based business called WebEdits & More. My primary business will be updating the content for nonprofit and commercial Web sites. I don't expect any clients at my residence because I plan to do all my interactions online or via telephone. |
