Hey I was wondering if anyone knew what happened on South Orange Ave about 4 days ago. I went to Starbucks. couldn’t find a spot so I circled the block and upon returning there were a ton of police vehicles with tons of rubber-necking people.

Please I hope the pedestrian and driver of the car are OK. Please if someone knows anything please post it here. Please I know that the cars sometimes are in to much of a hurry at that intersection. One day my friend and I were crossing from the PNC Back side conner to the Town Hall conner side and a car nearly hit us. We Were lucky not to get hit. The Cop that was there was yelling at the driver. I wish the cop had given the driver ticket. I do not know if there is a camera at the intersection. If there is no camera. I feel very strongly that a camera must be installed at the intersection of South Orange AVE and Scotland Road and South Orange Ave and Valley. That is a very dangerous intersection.

Yes, I believe there should be a camera on that corner also. This is not the first time this has happened and it is by far the most frequented intersection in S.O.

I think a camera's a good idea, but there's a lot involved with just putting up a camera

1: who would monitor it, and pay for it?
2: would it record or just be watching?
3: would it just take a photo of the intesection every few seconds like camera's in most stores?
4: Are you expecting violations to be mailed out to drivers?

This isn't NYC and we don't have the resources that New York has? theres a lot more to this then just saying, put a camera up we want a camera? what purpose would it have and who'd be resposible for it. Its a county road also, so that sort of puts it out of the play of the township. Would public have access to the video or recorded? Because you know the second the public knows its being recording they will be in Village Hall demanding to know who didn't wait for the pedestrian light last tuesday or was it Wed between 8am and 10pm?

Don't mind the sarcasm, it is a good idea, but just very vague at this point.

the "please" is just someone who is trying to appear to be overly concerned by being overly politically correct.

Lets stop worrying about someone using the word please. It is the polite thing to do and no one should picked be on any one for using please. I wish more people would use the word please. We need more polite people in this world. Now lets get back to the topic here. Dose anyone know how the pedestrian and the driver of the car are? Please let us know. I hope they are all OK.
