Can we create a new guideline saying that no one is allowed to attack local businesses or get into arguments with Pizzaz until their post count hits at least 200? Showing up as a newbie and immediately lauching into insults of local people and businesses doesn't build you a position in an online community. Anyone who is slinging mud in their first dozen posts has joined to sling mud, and goes on my list of posters to ignore. If you are really new in town, ask for advice on local handymen or children's activities, ask questions about where to go for a meal. Don't move into town (physical or virtual) and immediately start yelling about how awful everything is if you expect to make any friends here. |

Crabby, there aren't any rules, nor should there be. But common sense does say that you get the lay of the land before picking a fight. I think that is Susan's point. How much time is enough time? You'll know. And even if we encourage self-restraint, 200 is a bit high. I'm thinking 71 posts is about right. |

Mary - I'll take the bait... if you didn't know who Pizzaz was, then why was your thread titled "Shame on you Pizzaz" not "Shame on you Bunny's"? I think the problem here, if you really are who you say you are and your complaint is legitimate (which I question, because Bunny's really does have a very clean and kept ladies' room) then you shouldn't have started a thread as a personal attack. Since you did, it leads me to believe that your complaint is false and you're just trying to start trouble. Regardless, Pizzaz tried to handle it politely, you declined but since you've accepted his apology then let's all just let it go. |

Strings at the risk of starting this all over I post the following that made it clear to me that Pizzaz is the owner of Bunnys. singlemalt Supporter Username: Singlemalt Post Number: 1109 Registered: 12-2001 Posted on Sunday, July 17, 2005 - 10:22 am: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let it go John - you and I both know you can care less about the questions you are firing at Jeff in this thread. It's just another example of why nobody voted for you. Why not tell us how long you are going to keep another store front empty on the avenue? It looks like ••••. Grow up and clean the restrooms in that place you call a restaurant. They're filthy. Strings this was posted by singlemalt in reference to a post by pizzaz. Does that answer your question? |

I wonder which MOL people suffer more from: Capgras Syndrome or Fregoli Syndrome?
quote:People with "Capgras' Syndrome" think everyone around them is an impostor. They feel like they are living in a real life version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. People with "Fregoli Syndrome" see everyone around them as the same person.

What problems has Pizzazz caused? Bunny's is a local business, a good restaurant, and a good place to be. John conducted a decent campaign, and would have made a good trustee. Unlike the two women who were elected, John communicates on MOL and he did not wage a campaign of scurrilous inuendo. Bunny's is an asset to this town. I have never failed, on the numerous occasions, that my family and I have gone there, to be treated with courtesy. I really do not understand the attacks against John and Leslie. It just shows, I guess, that no good deed goes unpunished, and I think that many good people will be discouraged from running for office in this town because of the way John has been vilified. Shame on you, Katie and Mary. |

Heck, I know I can't make the "rules" (so I used the biggest smiley that I could find!). I'm just getting tired of people who get accounts just to talk down local people or places. (time to practice my troll-ignoring skills again...I have problems with them sometimes!) |

Does someone not possess the ability to lock a thread? This is just getting silly and no one can come out of a mud slinging contest looking cleanier than when they went in..... |

Mary Brenner and Katie Westerna I will take the initiative to please ask you to pack up your belongings and move back across the Hudson, probably to some snobby block on the Upper East Side. There you will find marble laden bathrooms, restaurants that don't have a wait, and a Cornell educated doctor to remove the 2x4 that is lodged up your posterior. I AM THE MAN -- SHOW SOME RESPECT!!! |

While I never considered voting for Pizzazz in the last election, his posts here and elsewhere permanently have convinced me that he's unsuited to govern our village -- now and forever. |

Dave - please delete the Shame on you Mary Brenner thread. It's accomplished all that it can be. From the levelheaded comments on your shameful thread, I know that the smart people can see what's going on. The asshats that don't won't go to Bunny's. Perfect! Thanks. -bets |

I think it must be the humidity. My new plan is to only delete or close stuff that makes me look bad. That way, when people say I play favorites at least I'll know who they're talking about. |
