Anyone know much about the art gallery in South Orange that is (unfortunately) located sort of back behind Bank of America, facing the parking lot? It's actually across the little walkway from BoA, but on the same side of the street.

I occasionally see a guy sitting outside drinking his coffee, who appears to be the owner. Anyone been in there?

I just sow a sign for the art gallery for the first time today. and I have walked passed that place South Orange Ave a dozen times were they have there sign. This was the first time I ever sow the sign. How long has the art gallery been there? I think that is a very odd place for an art gallery.

Conty
There is also some kind of 'art gallery' next to that jeans store. It's a few stores up from Blockbuster.

The gallery in the alley by Bank of America is owned by a fellow named Berc. Here is his website:

http://www.artbyberc.com/

He appears to have a worldwide reputation, and his work seems quite extraordinary. I think its a great addition to the town. I spoke to him the other day and he wants to turn the alley into something like a mini-Left Bank in Paris, where artists could set up little kiosks to show and display their work.

He's had his studio in the "green" building on Sloan Street.

I've seen his murals (wall size) - amazing!

Many years ago there was an annual South Orange outdoor art exhibit in the downtown area. It seems to have fallen by the wayside, but maybe this new adddition will feel inspired to restart it.

I visited the website and the beautiful works of art....fabulous! What a great artist using different mediums.... especially his watercolor paintings. I can't wait to visit the gallery.
