I was driving home from dropping my daughter off at camp this morning, on South Orange Ave., alongside the reservation, and saw a white dog running very fast in the middle of the road, heading west. I pulled to the left, and then made a left into the upper Wyoming Newstead area, and started driving around looking for someone looking for a dog. I pulled over when I saw a woman walking on the sidewalk, rolled down my window, thinking I'd ask her if she knew someone with a dog that fit my description. After I told her, she answered very calmly, 'that's my dog.' Then she leaned into my car, and petted and sweet-talked my little dog, who was sitting in the front passenger seat. I said, 'you better get in your car and look for the dog.' The woman seemed totally non plussed, in fact, I was way more worried then she was! I find it hard to believe that this dog could survive, running in the middle of the road, as fast as it could into oncoming traffic. I hope the dog is ok.

Very strange indeed, Ink. Some people should just not own pets! Hopefully the doggy survives and lives a nice long life, in spite of the apparant apathy of it's owner!

I agree with Me! I hope the dog doesn't get hit by a car!

Ink,
During the talk with the woman who's dog was running in the into on coming traffic I would have asked her what her full name was and did she live in Newstead. After we parted and I rolled my cars window I would have called the ASPCA on this woman. That is animal cruelty. The dog could get killed by being aloud to run free into on coming traffic. From what you said here Ink to me it sounds like the woman dose not care at all for her dog. I do not understand why people get pets if the do not want to take care and responsibly for them. A pet is a living breathing benign. They gives use so much unconditional love. All they ask from us is to love them back and take care of them properly, so they can live a long and happy life with us. This woman clearly should not have this dog. The ASPCA can find a caring and loving home for this dog.
