During my morning commute I saw 2 deer roaming on SO Ave. in Vailsburg. I was saddened by their obvious confusion & distress. I live in Montrose and will see deer in the yard on occasion. I guess some just keep going until the greenery runs out. It was so surreal.

I have never hunted an animal and do not really want to ever. It was just so disturbing to see this.

I saw a deer today on an island in the middle of Rt. 22... I was initially impressed he made it there in the first place, then I though about him trying to get back...

I also saw a deer today, on 78. Most of the body was lying on the roadside, the rest of it was about a 1/4 mile down the road.

A family of deer has recently taken up residence above Prospect Street in SO. This is new, and though the does are kind of cute, rather disturbing. I am hoping they realize the neighborhood is not really for them, and they go back where they belong, across Valley and up the hill.

That deer family on Prospect keeps eating our garden, dumping in our yard and possibly contaminating us with lyme disease. Its only a matter of time before some driver whipping down the Prospect Autobahn at 60mph hits one and kills himself and the animal. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be anyway to return the deer to their previous habitat.

I too saw that deer on the side of 78. Mom told me he was napping.
