The official village website provides the following status report for Saiyd Plaza (the hole in the ground next to Great Wall Chinese Takeout: "Current Status: The owner received preliminary approval for a revised building from the Planning Board in November 2004 and plans construction during summer 2005. " Well, summer 2005 is about 2/3's over. What's up, BOT? Can an individual leave a site unimproved in the center of town without any repercussions? |

Maybe you should fine him so that he can't afford to begin construction at all. Then wait a while and take his property from him, then the village can sell it. Then fine the new owner. Profit for village and more things to complain about on MOL. Win Win.

Saiyd Plaza? Is that the name the village recognizes ? I know the guy who owns it is Saiyd, but I did not know he was worthy of Plaza status.

Nothing will ever get done with that hole without some sort of intervention ... what about the new laws pertaining to eminent domain? Not that I want to see the Village in another real estate deal but what are the options at this point? |
