I am trying to find a way to listen to tonight's This American Life stories on line. I had to get out of my car during a hillarious story! It was the first one, I believe, about a cop who locked himself in his cop car. Can anyone help me with maybe what the title was. I kept hitting dead ends on their website. I MUST hear the full story! Thanks! |

I hate when that happens! What about calling the Chicago radio station that airs it and see if they can help? I'm sure the call letters are on the NPR site. |

Thanks for all your help. I still can't seem to find it anywhere in the search options on their site. They advise against sending emails to them asking about shows. But now, I won't be able to sleep until I find out how this story ends! I guess I'll try calling the station like you suggested, las. If anyone else has another idea, please let me know. Thanks. |

Audible.com sells downloads of This American Life - they are probably on a few days delay. Check the website in a few days. |

Being a TAL addict, they have past shows on their website to listen to or download to a podcast. You can hear this week's show starting next week. They delay the newest shows by one week. FYI, This American Life is on twice, Sat at 11am on 820 AM and Sunday at 6pm on 93.9 FM. They aired on WFUV on 90.7 FM, but am not sure if they still do. Good listening, JML |

And I'm pretty sure you'll have to pay. Some public radio shows are not available for download for free. But it won't be much.

Every episode of This American Life is available for free online. You usually have to wait a week to hear the most recent one. |

I heard it, and can tell you how it ends. It wouldn't be very funny via me, though. |

Looks like you got caught in one of their driveway moments. thisamericanlife.org has free downloads on that site. Yes, you have to wait a week for it to be posted. While you are waiting for the week, check their "search" panel for "squirrel cop" "Peter Pan" David Sidaris and Sarah Vowel. Another NPR website that is archived that you might like is, Soundprints. Not as good as T.A.L. but still some good stuff.
