We have been redecorating my teenagers room and she has chosen a tyedye theme. Everything is slipping into place except that we can't find tyedye material to cover upper window boxes that have a floral print on them right now! I checked the rag shop already but to no avail. Does anyone have an idea where I might find tyedye? I'm going to check Walmart and I'm hoping btwn them or you I can find some :-) Desperate times MIGHT call for desperate measures....my 13 yr old said that "she'd be willing to try and make her own from a solid white sheet"! *gasp*!!! lol In my experience, homemade tyedye is never quite as vibrant as store bought tyedyed items.

Gee, when I was 13, the only tyedye was that that I made.

Heck, give her some cloth and let her have at it. What a learning experience.

Peace, love and the rest,

I've seen tie-dye sheets at Kohls (and I'm sure other places have them too). maybe those would work?

I loved tie-dying when I was in high school!
I would recommend using a sheet other than white or it will be difficult to cover the floral pattern underneath -- maybe a light blue or yellow.
Buy a couple of cheap sheets and let her experiment. Maybe you'll both be surprised at how creative she can be and how much fun is.

Thanks everyome for the feedback! Okkkayyyy...maybe we'll go the do it yoursef route...but the color isn't going to be as vibrant as I was hoping for...alrightttt.....maybe we'll start with a pillow case or something...so...we need to have several different colors on hand I'm imagining. I've never done more than two colors at once...we want all the prittyyyyy colors! lol!! Thank you for the Kohls tip too...in case the final product is not what we wanted;)
