we're on the hunt for a kitchen table that would seat 4, but could squeeze 5. ideally it would be a drop leaf, but doesn't have to be. we're dealing w/ a small kitchen here, so this is a tough one. any suggestions of where we should look to buy? we're also not in a position to spend big bucks. |

There are several dinette stores on Rts 22 and 10 where you can find drop leaf. Last year I was looking for a 36" round, and in my search I found these two (totally diff styles): http://www.efurniturehouse.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=85 http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/coll.do?coll=RB1151&dept=RB306 Also try Ikea. |

When we were looking for the same kind of table we checked the Star-Ledger ads under furniture or household goods. We found a set in essentially new condition in West Orange. The owner even delivered it to us for free. The set is wood with a laminate top for easy cleaning. I think we paid about $50, or maybe a little less. 14 years later it is still sturdy, durable and easy to clean. Plus we like the wood. |

Abode in the Village has dining tables you can order. There is a smallish round one. |

Tried to call Abode today, but could not find a listing for it, either on switchboard.com, yellowpages.com, or in the archives of MOL. I would have called directory assistance , but I don't think we can from our work phones. Can someone post the phone number for me? thanks! |

Hmm I posted but it didn't seem to take ... we have a wonderful white drop-leaf kitchen table that we got from Crate and Barrel. I think it's even on sale now, from when we purchased it. It's very mod and clean looking. |
