I've noticed a bunch of Christmas trees thrown out on the curve throughout town...is there a designated town-pick up for these, or does Waste Mgmt do this? Most appeared over the weekend, and spent the better part of the last two days blowing around the streets. |

actually, I'm not griping (suprised to say it) I was more curious about whether or not I can chuck my tree in the street too.... |

It's a good question. There are loads of trees to get rid of, but to my knowledge WM does not designate a specific pick up day for any zone. Eventually, they pick them up, but there has always been (as I recall) this longish period of time when there are a lot of trees lying around. The recent winds have made it even more noticable, since you may have your neighbors tree on your front porch (or vice versa). |

Santa Claus picks them up. He's been a bit behind schedule this year since Dancer and Prancer were out on disability. |

Township DPW picks them up. There's been a bit of a delay or interruption due to men having to salt icy road conditions. |

I think the big winds have something to do with where the trees have ended up - some on my block blew into the street as well |

I noticed that most of my neighbors who put out their Christmas trees placed them on the median rather than in the street. This has made it somewhat safer for drivers trying to negotiate our streets, especially under the recent icy conditions. |
