Does anyone know of a pet sitting service that is qualified to tend a geriatric diabetic cat that requires two insulin shots a day?

You might want to ask at your vet's office. Many vet techs will do this on the side.

Cats has the right idea. One cat sitter we had who did it was a vet tech. She doesn't do pet sitting anymore though. Pretty much anyone can do it though as long as you have a nice cat. Our cat was really grouchy & would hiss at strangers so most people couldn't do the shots for her.

Try Linda Sciavella of Pets Prefer. We have her care for our cats when we're away, and she used to be a Vet Technician so she is able to do this. I don't have that experience with her first hand, but when I called her references when we first hired her, several of them told me she does this kind of thing for them.

THANKS for the name, I'll call her and my vet tomorrow to arrange it. I just think Ernie The Cat will eat better and do better if he can stay at home. Thanks again!

Ernie....what a great name for a cat. I love it.

Good luck!
