Last month we became new foster parents of a 1 month and 13 month old. We are desperately in need of an infant car seat, high chair, play pak, double stroller, etc. Please let us know if you know of anyone who might be selling these items cheap. We really appreciate your help!

Sugarplum, I'm pretty sure I have a high chair. Nothing fancy, but it served us well for three kids. P/L me your phone number and address and I'll double check it's still here and get in touch with you. Unfortunately, I've been cleaning out a lot of our old stuff lately so I don't have much left, but I'll double check. Other Mother's, a children's cosignment store on Irvington Avenue in SO, is a great resource for inexpensive, lightly used clothes and other baby items.

Another thing, what sex are the babies so we know whether you need "boy things" or "girl things" (although I won't be able to help with the girl things)!

Congratulations!

I have an infant car seat, Graco Snugride with base. It's newer and clean. Would $20 be fair?

I also have an exersaucer I would donate, possibly a baby monitor as well. I have gotten rid of all of the clothes however, but know I still have toys and other items.

We would love some clothes. I forgot to mention that they're both girls. The 13 month old is wearing 18-24 months believe it or not. I guess all of that Hi-C and Cheez Doodles her mom used to feed her did her well. Thank you!

Maplewood's Milk Money store is in the middle of its seasonal clearance now... give them a call and they will let you know when the bag sale is (maybe next week?) where you can stuff a grocery bag full of infant/kid clothing for $5!! And if you have friends in Montclair, Princeton, or Hastings-on-Hudson (NY), they can do the same at each of those Milk Money shops, as well.

Also, ask the owners about a post-clearance donation. Whatever is left following the final day of the sale is donated so to make room for all of the fresh, new merchandise for the next season. I am sure they'd be happy to work with you on that, as well...

Congratulations and enjoy!!

Also, Other Mothers on Irvington Ave in S. Orange is having their monthly sale starting Friday morning. Many, many clothing items go for literally 25 cents and nearly everything else is marked down significantly from their already-reasonable prices. They also have "accessories" of all kinds. Check them out this week.

My newest favorite consignment store is Second Childhood on Morris Ave in Springfield. The stuff isn't as nice as Milk Money but much more resonable.
