I offered to make cupcakes for my nephews play. His class is having a play about endangered animals and was wondering of anyone has made cupcakes decorated to look like animals and if so how did you do it. Thanks

We made animal cupcakes - instead of trying to do it with icing, we rounded up all of our little plastic animals and stuck them in the frosting on the cupcakes.

It looked very cute, and every kid gets to keep an animal.

Plus it's easy - just make sure each cupcake has enough frosting to anchor the plastic animal.

Thanks for all you suggestions. I ended up making lion cupcakes. I used popcorn for the mane, black icing for the eyes and mouth. Thanks again.
