Just switched insurances and now I need a new doctor, since my old one is not on my current plan. Any recommendations? |

I use Dr. Susan Pitman. She's FANTASTIC....but the wait in her waiting room is not. Every time I go, I wait at least 45 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room. I normally can't tolerate that kind of thing, but she truly is the best for what I'm looking for - a thorough, no-nonsense, personable, knowledgeable and respectful doctor (OK - the wait is disrespectful, but that's it)... I still recommend her - just bring a good book with you and come in with the expectation that you'll be waiting. She's on Northfield Road in Livingston 973-325-5670. |

I've heard wonderful things about Dr Pitman as well, and would have switched to her when I needed a new doc, except I have had her children in class (I'm down to the youngest one now). Tammy Hamilton in Livingston has also gotten great recommendations here on MOL. |

Second, Dr. Pitman. She delivered my little girl. I agree with Lil about the wait. However, I don't think it's intentional because she's coming/going from the hospital all the time. Be that as it may, she delivered my daughter unscathed, despite complications. As a result, she can do no wrong in my eyes.

Dr. Christopher Seymour in Millburn is really terrific. The first OB/GYN that I have ever had that I am completely comfortable with. |

Oh, and reading the other threads posted, it is a well organized office and I have never had a horrible wait. |

Dr Mansuria in West Orange is great - no waiting room issues. She actually takes time to talk to you and answer all your questions. |

Used to see Dr. Yeum in the Pitman practice. I liked her but could not tolerate waiting over an hour for a 5 minute emergency visit. I have since switched to the Avalon midwives, if that interests you. A much different experience that a regular GYN (in a good way), but I felt very well taken care of. My first area OB Gyn was the practice of Ciciola, David & Kaufman, on Northfield in WO (But closer to downtown WO...make a right off Gregory.) I really liked Dr. David & Dr. Ciciola, he delivered 2 of my children and is a real sweetheart. If my insurance didn't change I'm sure I would have stayed with that practice because I adored him so much. |
