Am looking to enroll my 3 year old boy in some type of athletic class near Maplewood but have so far had no luck. I'd prefer not to join the Summit Y or the Connection only to enroll him in one class. Plus, there is a waiting list at the Connection. Any ideas? |

There's nothing at the Y in Maplewood? Have you checked with the recreation department? |

Little Gym in Livingston is great but pricey. I have a 2 year old and 4 year old there.
South Mountain Y, primarily a child care center (my kids go there) offers a bunch of athletic classes for 3.5 and up, including kindersports (a mix), soccer and gymnastics. One note, my 4 year old has more fun at the Little Gym gymnastics than the Y (the coach at the Y is a real coach and a bit more strict).
Also a bit farther is Diamond Gymnastics in East Hanover. And I've heard good things third hand about Sunburst Gymnastics in Union.

My three year old has taken both kindersports and soccer at the Y here in Maplewood and enjoyed both. He is currently enrolled in Soccer. They also have gymnastics but I don't know how the program is. I do know some who have gone to sunburst gymnastics and liked it.
