Where can I find a self-wash car wash around here? I don't know what the proper term for these establishments is, but they're the car wash with multiple stall-like openings where you wash it yourself.

I had some work done recently (out-of-state) on my car stereo and now the antenna remains up unless the ignition is off, whether the stereo is on or not. So, taking my filthy car through the car wash I usually use (with brushes) isn't an option. It's filthy enough that I'm embarassed to be driving it.

Thanks!

That would work just fine if I had a private driveway and a house... or could legally park in front of my apartment building.

Although it is "at my own risk", I send my car with the fixed antenna through the carwash regularly and have never had a problem.

I haven't tried it myself yet but I've seen one next to the A&P in Kenilworth (about 15 minutes from Maplewood).

Cleanway Car Wash on Irvington Ave. in South Orange is brushless. It's washed by hand by guys in raingear as the car goes through automatically.

You may use my water and my driveway. Email me at noglider@pobox.com

But probably a better solution is to fix the antenna. I highly recommend Sound On Wheels on Morris Ave in Union. You often can walk in without an appointment, and they'll help you immediately. Good work, reasonable rates. (908) 810-9600
