So the end of the parking permit grace period (February 8th) is fast approaching and I have yet to get my 2006 permit. I thought I could just mail my application in with my check and the appropriate documentation, so I checked the township web site for details. It says that, indeed, I can send my application in with a check and the appropriate documentation, however (and here's the kicker) there is no application posted on the township web site! There isn't even an indication anywhere on the web site where to obtain the form! I'm sure if I went to town hall I could get the form there, but if I could go to town hall during their hours of operation, I would have no need to mail the form in. Does anyone know where I can obtain the form in reasonable proximity to the train station prior to 8am and after 7pm? Thanks for any help.

Maybe they would fax you one or pop one in the mail?
I found the maplewood town hall folks were very nice in the past when I needed something mailed to me.

A few weeks ago they had applications at the train station.

Is it true that there is officially a grace period until February 8th? I always thought it was something like 15 days. Interestingly, my spouse (the commuter in the family) just realized today that he had not gotten a new permit and decided that he'd better hoof it tomorrow to avoid getting a ticket.

Thanks - I will check at the train station in the morning - maybe the concierge. Otherwise, I will call town hall and see if they could fax me one. Thanks for the good ideas. sac - the maplewood town website indicated that February 8th was the end of the grace period.

If you can't find one tomorrow and they won't fax you the application, I'll pick up an application and fax it to you. Is thisSouth Orange or Maplewood you need?

Thanks. Dumb question - I can't find a link to the official town website anywhere ... and google is no help. (Perhaps the township webmaster needs to work on that. Maplewood Online comes up pretty early in the hits, but no sign of the official site anywhere in the first couple of pages.)

Can someone point me to the correct URL?
