Please contact me if you find him. His name is Frosty. He's new to us--although he's eight years old--so he doesn't have tags yet. He's wearing a blue collar. 973-378-3162.

Megan - I'll keep an eye out, I have a Bichon too - they don't like to be alone for long.

Call first thing tomorrow (if he's not home by then) animal control and the JAC, I've heard so many stories from dog people who were reunited at the JAC.

You must be going crazy - good luck, if it's any help, most dogs are found safe and sound.

Actually, Lydia, that does help. I forgot to mention that he does have his Waldwick license still. I've called their police department as well as Maplewood's, Irvington's, and Newark's.

Call Millburn too - poor baby - both of you.

Whenever I read lost pet posts it worries me, Bichons are so sweet, he'll find a person to help him soon.

When you recover him (and I'm 90% sure you will) get him micro-chipped.

My Bichon is an impulsive pup and they run off after silly things + they're so fast.

Keep us posted, my fingers are crossed and I really think he'll come home.

Megan - you met one of my neighbors while you were looking for your dog. We've sent out the info on our neighborhood e-loop so lots of people will be looking. Good luck.

I hate "lost animal" threads, too, and I hope that the trend continues with a "he's found!" post soon.

Megan,

I sent you an email. Let me know if you need us to help canvas the neighborhood after school. You know how the girls love dogs. We can go door to door for a few blocks. Someone may have taken him in, trying to be helpful.

He's back home. He was wandering the streets of Maplewood all night. Poor boy.

Thanks to everyone who helped and offered to help.

I had pretty much given up on driving around and looking, so I decided to take my flyer around to vet offices and the JAC. As I headed down Ridgewood toward Millburn, I glanced down Jefferson. There he was, strolling up the sidewalk! I was armed with treats, but he looked so miserable, I think he would have come to me no matter what.

Megan -

Great news!

That's so amazing you saw him just walking down Jefferson - I'm so happy for you.

I saw the signs out all around town this morning and kept my fingers crossed for you and Frosty - so glad the little guy is safe and sound.

Bets is right, whenever an animal is lost and it's posted on MOL they are found.

There was one little dog (last night wasn't the right time to mention it) who was lost for months and months, the owners never gave up hope and they found her too.

Megan-
I'm glad to hear you found the four legged one! I drive Parker from the top to Clinton School every morning. It can be a very busy street around school time. When you mentioned you live by there I hoped on of the students the students would spot him this morning.

As I said, I was pretty sure all of the lost pets on MOL have turned up.

Lydia
Wasn't that Rosco? I think we were all surprised and happy when he was located. If I remember right, it turned out someone snatched him.
