We're dealing with strep this week and the pediatrician said she's seeing a lot of strep and flu.

It is a nasty one. Had me out of work for four days, wiped out for about 2 weeks, coughing for 3 weeks. Seems for some it is a cough, for others it is a sore throat, but the common factor is a high fever for about 4-5 days, and being totally drained of energy for a while.

yup. Looks like it's going 4 for 4 at our house. No sore throats, though. They told me it is not the flu.

I got it yesterday...persistent wracking cough, fever (101-103), body aches like it was beaten. I think it is the flu.
