Light brown, short haired medium size dog all curled up on my neighbor's front step. Has been there a few hrs, and doesn't look familiar. The police were here earlier today looking for a dog but it's not known if it was the same dog. Jefferson school area.

Hmm, there is a dog that fits that description who lives on Ridgewood, right next to the school. He wanders around a good bit and I know animal control gets called about it from time to time. I wonder if that is the dog.

Did you call the police back to tell them the dog is there?

I just called Maplewood Police. Not sure if the dog you see is the same dog; but they think the dog they were looking for is injured. That's why they're trying to locate it as well as getting in touch with Animal Control. Maybe you can call the police 973.762-3400 and let them know where this dog is.

The police were notified around 5 pm and I called again around 7:30, but they have yet to show up.
