Can anyone recommend a good local body shop for our Volkswagen?

JS Auto on Lackawanna Pl in SO is not the cheapest, but he's done a lot of work for me over the years, and I've always been very pleased with the work.

I highly recommend Modern Auto Body on Valley Street in S.O. He is honest and they do excellent work.
Tell them the RDRDR Audi sent you. We've given him 2 cars in the last 2 weeks. (It hasn't been a good year so far for our cars).

Young's Autobody, 15 Newark Way, Maplewood, 973-761-5091. I used them on my VW after multiple recommendations here and they did a great (and reasonable) job.

I liked Dobbs Auto Body at 23 Springfield Ave. in Springfield. (near the intersection with Morris Avenue.) My FIL used them for a repair on his Jeep, and I was actually recommended NOT to do some minor ding/scratch repairs on a car we were going to sell and just to get the car detailed instead. I really appreciated the advice rather than them just doing the job and getting paid. It said honesty to me.

Another vote for Youngs on Newark Way. Reasonable, good, and will work with your insurance company directly.

Fine Finishes, 617 Scotland Road. Fixed my dented door like new - even fixed other things without charging me extra. Excellent price - came in $500 less than Millburn Collision (and he apologized for charging me what I thought was a very reasonable price)! Ask for Frank (the owner).

We have also had very good experiences with Modern.
