ok, call me cheap, but I can't stand paying over three dollars for a greeting card. Is there one of those places nearby that sells half priced greeting cards? |

Did you try the dollar store on Springfield Ave.?Sometimes that kind of store sells them. CVS usually has some 99-cent cards mixed in with their higher-priced cards, too. |

CVS shopping center on S. Valley (extension of Ridgewood in W. Orange) has both a discount card store and a dollar store with cheap cards. |

Trader Joe's has a small but interesting array of cards for $1 each. Most are blank inside, but a few "happy birthday" & "thank you" messages - nothing long. They range from Japanese brush paintings to stylized bold animals and ones that look like old-fashioned food labels. Far more appealing to me than the Hallmark variety, but you may not find one to suit more conventional recipients. Also, the cigar/card/toy store on S. Orange Ave. (S. Mountain ...?) has some nice cards and usually has quite a few on 1/2 price sale. |

I never thought I would say this, but Party City is a great place. Lots of fun, there's always something to buy there. |

I'm not sure about 99c Globe on SA, which I would probably check first along with MapleChek, but I know that the Dollar store in the Livingston Mall has cards. |

I'm a card cheapo too! Topfs pharmacy on Springfield Ave sells "major brand" (maybe Carlton?) cards for 50% off; it's not the greatest selection, and sone of the cards seemed a bit off to me -- must have been the ones that didn't sell elsewhere -- but you can't beat the price! |

If you belong to Costco, the mixed boxes of cards that they sometimes sell are super...about 15-20 dollars for 30+ really nice cards (the ones with 3-D features and nice matching envelopes). Just bought a box of them today. |
