Hi, we are looking for a Babysitter to sit our 1 year old, the occasional evening’s weekends. Especially need someone for a two week period in March, to pick him up from Daycare and watch him until we return Home from work, 1 to 2 hours a day. Should have own driving license.

Any help, suggestions appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Check out the employment wanted section in MOL's Classifieds. Just do a thorough check of references and you can get lucky. (You can also post your own, free ad, but you'll get a TON of responses so be specific of your requirements and what you will pay.)

FYI, I find the going rate to be $10/hr., often a bit less for a younger teen. The posters in the classifieds try to get more, or add another $1 per child.

For the period in March, check out other posts or do a search. There was a thread called something like "desperate for a sitter..." in which a few options were mentioned that might work for you.

Friends of ours who use the Y daycare hire one of the "teachers" for after care babysitting. Perhaps speak to the people at your daycare about this 2 week need. IF they can't do it, they may be a good source of other options.

Good luck!
