So, I ordered a subscription through Amazon.com & it hasn't come yet & now it's officially overdue. I have been searching the site to find a phone number or an email address & have had no luck (which is so extremely frustrating/non-customer friendly!) Any suggestions AT ALL?!!!

I once tried to find a phone number for Amazon and remember getting very frustrated looking. Have you tried calling 1-800-555-1212? I think that is the number for the toll free number directory.

They can be super-late at times. I once complained, and they explained that with super-saver shipping, items don't even go out of the warehouse right away. In other words, the trade-off for not paying for shipping is a significant delay in the order.

I will add that once I lodged my complaint, I was upgraded to 2-day shipping free of charge.

Not sure how they handle subscriptions, though. Taam, was your credit card already billed? Maybe they sent it to the wrong address.

I work for a magazine publisher, and we've had a lot of trouble with subscriptions to our publications sold thru Amazon. In our case (and many others) Amazon isn't really the seller--it's EBSCO, a magazine wholesaler acting as a third-party seller on Amazon's site. So Amazon doesn't consider itself to be responsible, and EBSCO isn't very responsive (even if you manage to get thru, and they agree to refund, it might take months). If you get the runaround from Amazon and the reseller, try calling the magazine directly--ask for someone in the circulation department, and you might get the help you need. (and speaking from personal experience here: please don't blame whoever you speak to at the magazine; it's not our fault, and people call and yell about this all the time. we have no way to stop wholesalers/resellers from doing this.)

the killer is that it was a christmas gift. so, timing was definitely important to me. i spoke to the publisher (amazon gave me the number yesterday) & a very nice gentleman on the line said someone in customer service will get back to me within 3-5 business days (being in customer service myself, i personally think is very poor cust. serv.) they also said that the person should have received it by jan. 30th. - they definitely did not, so i am very anxious to see what they have to say.
thanks for all your advice. - appreciate it.

Team
I've found some really great deals for most of the maaizines I subscribe to doing an ' advance google' search. I use the name of the maggazine as my search term, then 'subscription' in the space above. Most times by the theird or forth result on the list I can find a great price.

Maybe you can dispute the charnge with you credit card company?
A couple of examples of the great prices would be GUIDEPOSTS. It's usually $20 or above for 12 issuses. I got it for under $3. People is usualyy $125 or more. I found it for $60.
