I guess this question has been asked a million times before, but I couldn't get the 'search' feature to work. Does anyone have experience with a nearby shoe repair shop? I'm looking to get a pair of old cowboy boots stretched a bit and cleaned, and re-heeled. I'm willing to drive a bit from SO/Maplewood if necessary. Thank you. |

There's a shoe repair place on Main street in Millburn by the Grooming Room. It's very good. |

It's called True Fit (I think) just had a couple things done there last week--including stretching a pair of cowboy boots! The guy seems very eager to please!

Tru-Fit is great, and the owner goes out of his way to make you a happy customer - highly recommend. (That's 3 votes, now you have to go there!) |

I have to have my shoes specially modified. The guy in Millburn ruined a pair of new shoes, and I even showed him a pair of shoes that had been modified and told him to do exactly that, and he did something else. The best shoe repair place around is Ragos in MOrristown. You can UPS the shoes there and Tommy will call you and get instrutions and UPS them back. Or you can take them to Nordstrom at Short Hills and they'll send them there for you. |
