The adult school offers an intro class each semester, I believe. I took it once. The teacher is Chinese and married to someone who runs a large Tai Chi school perhaps in Livingston? but possibly in NYC. She could probably refer you to a place closer to home if you liked it.

I took the class at the adult school twice, and I liked it. It's hard on the knees though. A lot of the positions require bent knees, and I have begun to develop arthritis in mine, so I had to stop Tai Chi.
