There's a web site -- deal is that there are a couple of companies that do this, sell the cars (scrap or otherwise), and pass the money to the charity of oyur choice. http://www.donateacar.com/

FYI - You used to be able to deduct the actual market value of a donated car. But now they only allow you the actual price it is sold (auctioned) for. So that can be as little as $100.00. If you really want to donate, you should sell the car and donate the cash to your favorite charity. |
