I'm trying to find an old bike from the early 80's. It was called "sweet Thunder" and was made by Huffy. It was a pink girl's bike with a big poofy seat, not banana, the padding was thick. It had a front plate with the name on it and a number.

My wife remembers getting it for her 8th birthday, she says it was one of her best childhood memories. About 3 years ago, while cleaning out my in-law's garage I threw it out it was at the curb for a few hours before being scooped up, that's of course when she told me "make sure you don't throw out my old bike, I wanna save it"

this is a completed auction on eBay, but it might be a nice idea if you can't find the bike

(it's an old ad for the bike). you can add it to your favorite searches list and be notified when someone puts one on eBay.

Yes, the Maplewood Police bike auction is in June, but sometimes they skip a year. Call the police to find out the scheduled date of the auction. And watch out for me. I buy bikes there as a hobby, though I won't be buying the pink Huffy.

I don't claim to know jack about women, but isn't this a recipe for "you just don't understand" and "what if I got a replacement for you"

Well I DO know about women..........they're like a one person SWAT team, just do what they say and nobody gets hurt, besides if I don't find another one it'll be about 6 months before I get some of my own "Sweet Thunder"

Seriously though, I feel bad plus I'm the same way when it comes this nostalgic type sutff

Looks like there's someone on this forum who found a bike of this type through this:

Some more links that might be useful in finding it
